Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of cranial neurosurgical procedures with precision and compassion
• Perform spinal neurosurgical procedures, delivering high-quality operative and perioperative care
• Interpret advanced diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT, angiograms) to guide surgical and clinical decisions
• Provide timely consultations, assessments, and follow-up care for inpatient and outpatient patients
• Collaborate closely with neurologists, neurointerventional radiologists and other specialists to deliver multidisciplinary care
• Participate in the teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents and fellows to grow the next generation of surgeons
• Deliver patient-centered care with professionalism, empathy and a focus on excellent surgical outcomes

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (completion of medical school required)
• Completion of an accredited neurosurgery residency program
• Board certification or board eligibility in neurosurgery (preferred/expected)
• Ability to obtain or hold a Michigan medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Comfort working in a Level II Trauma Center environment with multidisciplinary teams
• Willingness to participate in teaching and mentoring activities
• Accepting H-1B Visa Only

Education

• MD or DO
• Completed neurosurgery residency

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cranial and spinal neurosurgical procedures
• Strong skills in interpreting MRI, CT and angiographic studies
• Experience and comfort practicing in a Level II Trauma Center
• Excellent inpatient and outpatient clinical management skills
• Collaborative communication with neurologists, neurointerventional radiologists and other specialists
• Teaching and mentoring skills for trainees and students
• Commitment to patient-centered care and high surgical standards
