Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, professional care to patients in a correctional mental health setting
• Observe and document patient behavior, changes, and responses to interventions
• Support implementation of individualized care plans under clinical direction
• Assist with safe patient movement and unit operations while maintaining security protocols
• Communicate clearly with multidisciplinary team members and facility staff
• Participate in the two-week training and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) credential
• Available and committed to the scheduled shifts: Thursday through Monday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Willingness to complete the two-week training program
• Professional demeanor and ability to work in a correctional facility environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong observational skills and thorough documentation habits
• Calm, clear communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting
• Basic de-escalation and behavioral support techniques
• Familiarity with mental health care routines and patient safety practices
• Ability to follow facility security protocols while delivering patient-centered care
