Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients using evidence based evaluation tools and clinical reasoning
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional goals
- Provide skilled OT interventions for activities of daily living and mobility
- Fit and recommend adaptive equipment and orthoses as needed
- Document progress clearly and timely in the client record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers to support carryover and independence
Qualifications
- Current California Occupational Therapy license or eligibility to obtain one
- Current BLS or CPR certification
- Active professional liability coverage or willingness to obtain
- Previous clinical experience as an OT preferred
- Ability to start by the assignment start date of 2025-12-04
- Willingness to work a flexible part-time schedule totaling 30 hours/week
Education
- Bachelor or Master degree in Occupational Therapy or related field; entry level masters preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in assessment and treatment planning for adult and/or pediatric populations
- Skilled in ADL training, functional mobility and adaptive equipment prescription
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Excellent patient and family education skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills in interdisciplinary settings
