Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Day: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM and Evening: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (rotating days/evenings as needed)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure patients receive safe, effective medication therapy through clinical pharmacy review
- Prepare, verify and monitor unit dose and IV admixture dispensing with attention to accuracy
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses and the care team to optimize drug therapy outcomes
- Teach and mentor staff and learners as part of the department’s educational mission
- Participate in administrative duties and quality improvement initiatives to strengthen pharmacy services
- Conduct or contribute to research projects that advance patient care and pharmacy practice
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws, regulations and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active pharmacist license in Vermont or eligibility for VT licensure
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy preferred
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience required (not retail-only)
- Familiarity with unit dose systems and IV admixture preparation
- Strong computer skills and comfort with electronic medication systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Willingness to participate in teaching, administrative projects and research
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred; Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy acceptable
- Active state pharmacist license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical pharmacy practice with a patient-centered focus
- Drug distribution processes including unit dose workflows
- Preparation and oversight of IV admixtures
- Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and general computer skills
- Technical pharmacy practice standards and hospital pharmacy operations
- Clear, professional communication and self-directed problem solving
