Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Quality Management & Accreditation program across the system, setting strategic direction and day-to-day priorities
• Oversee accreditation, infection prevention and control, employee health screening, patient safety, risk management, and credentialing activities
• Design, implement, and maintain quality management policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives
• Serve as subject matter expert on accrediting body standards and provide guidance for compliance and survey readiness
• Collaborate with EHR staff to integrate quality measurement capabilities and develop meaningful quality reports
• Investigate complaints and provide clear recommendations to executive leadership and the Board
• Mentor, coach, and supervise staff to build a high-performing, motivated team
• Report findings, progress, and strategic recommendations to the COO and Executive Leadership Team

Qualifications

• Current RN license or comparable clinical degree with relevant clinical experience
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required within 18 months of hire
• At least five years of healthcare administration or performance improvement management experience
• Minimum three years supervising healthcare professionals
• Demonstrated leadership and experience driving quality and accreditation initiatives
• Comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences and influencing stakeholders at all levels
• Willingness and ability to travel by jet, small aircraft, and ferry as required

Education

• RN license or comparable clinical degree (required)
• Master's degree in a health-related or business field (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of quality management, accreditation standards, and regulatory compliance
• Experience with infection prevention and control and patient safety practices
• Skill in performance improvement methodologies, including rapid PDSA cycles
• Familiarity with credentialing processes and accrediting agency requirements
• Experience with EHR quality measurement and reporting
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and program planning skills
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams while managing multiple priorities
