Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM NOC, occasional scheduled Holidays

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Decontaminate instruments like drills, DaVinci systems, and scopes with precision
Assemble trays across all service lines including trauma and loaners
Master sterilization processes using sterrad and steam methods
Handle high-level disinfection and scope reprocessing expertly
Manage sterile storage to ensure everything is ready when needed
Act as OR liaison to keep operations seamless
Utilize Censitrac tracking system for efficient inventory management

Qualifications

CBSPD or CRCST certification through HSPA
3+ years of experience in a busy Level 1 trauma facility like OSU
Teaching hospital experience required
Trauma Level II experience required, Level I preferred
Flu vaccine required with medical exemptions only

Education

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in automated endoscope reprocessors and high-level disinfection
Proficient with flex sigmoidoscopes and TEE probes
Skilled in biological and chemical indicators for sterilization
Familiar with Censitrac and equipment documentation
Aseptic technique, case carts, and sterilization wrapping procedures
