Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night 3x12-Hour, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, variable weekends based on unit needs

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care to PCU and Med Surg patients on a bustling surgical oncology floor
Manage advanced procedures like chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and heparin drips with precision
Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond swiftly to dysrhythmias and oncologic emergencies
Champion infection prevention and fall protocols to safeguard vulnerable adults and geriatrics
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including rapid response and pharmacy for optimal outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license with 2 years of recent PCU experience
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Preferred: ONS Chemo certification and oncology background
Proficiency in Epic charting system
Willingness to float to other acute care oncology units

Education

RN degree from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care
Strong cardiac telemetry skills including dysrhythmia interpretation
Familiarity with special equipment like B450 monitors, Alaris pumps, and GE telemetry
Respiratory support and emergency response capabilities
