Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Start Date: 05-25-2026

End Date: 08-24-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM with some early starts at 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM and one late shift per week to finish last patient, 1 night call per week, 1 weekend every other month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures to save lives
Place and manage IABP, Impella devices, and sheaths with precision
Administer procedural sedation and monitor patients closely during critical interventions
Scrub and circulate in high-stakes PCI and stent placements
Interpret dysrhythmias and respond swiftly to emergencies
Ensure infection prevention and sheath removal for optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Locals welcome alongside travelers
Travel experience not required

Education

RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures including PCI and stent placement
Proficient with IABP/Impella insertion, right/left heart cath, and Rotablator
Skilled in medication management like antiarrhythmics, vasopressors, and thrombolytics
Strong in procedural sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation, and sheath monitoring
Familiar with systems like Pyxis, MAC LAB, EPIC, and CUPID
