Roles & Responsibilities

• Master decontamination of complex instruments like drills, DaVinci systems, and scopes to ensure patient safety
• Expertly assemble trays across all service lines including trauma and loaners
• Execute sterilization processes using sterrad and steam for flawless results
• Perform high-level disinfection and manage sterile storage with precision
• Serve as OR liaison to track and deliver instrumentation seamlessly
• Leverage Censitrac system to standardize and procure instrument trays enterprise-wide

Qualifications

• CBSPD or CRCST certification through HSPA
• 3+ years of experience in a busy Level I trauma facility like OSU
• Teaching hospital experience required, Trauma Level II preferred
• Acute hospital OR or ambulatory surgery center background
• No previous OSU employment or travel experience at this facility

• Proficient in Censitrac tracking system
• Skilled in endoscope reprocessing including bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, and TEE probes
• Expertise with automated endoscope reprocessors, high-level disinfection, and ultrasonic cleaners
• Knowledge of specialty equipment processing across cardiac, robotics, ortho, and more
• Strong aseptic technique, case cart preparation, and sterilization monitoring
