Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on acute care therapy to help patients regain mobility and independence
• Conduct thorough assessments and create personalized treatment plans for orthopedic and neurologic conditions
• Guide patients through gait training, body mechanics education, and home exercise programs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in a Level II Trauma Center
• Utilize specialized equipment like gait belts and hospital beds to ensure safe, effective rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy license required
• BLS certification
• Proficiency in Epic charting system
• Experience with 1:1 patient ratios in fast-paced acute care settings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in orthopedics including cervicalgia, low back pain, joint replacements, and post-op surgeries
• Skilled in neurologic rehab for stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's, and traumatic brain injury
• Familiar with outpatient clinics, rehab hospitals, and SNFs
• Proficient in patient and family education, discharge planning, and billing for commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare A
