Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, compassionate urgent care assessments and treatments
• Perform triage and prioritized clinical decision-making for walk-in patients
• Administer medications, start IVs, and provide wound care as needed
• Collaborate with providers and support staff to ensure safe, timely care
• Document encounters accurately and promptly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, home care, and follow-up plans
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and clinic policies

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered California RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS a plus
• Urgent care or emergency nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with acute presentations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Current immunizations and TB screening per employer policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid patient assessment
• IV insertion, medication administration, and wound management
• Familiarity with urgent care workflows and patient flow optimization
• Clear, concise clinical documentation and handoffs
• Comfort using electronic medical records and basic digital tools
• Patient education and discharge planning
