Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Specialty Clinic team to improve patient access, flow, safety, and quality
• Partner with leadership to optimize schedules, referrals, and clinic throughput
• Standardize workflows and implement improvements to reduce wait times and enhance the patient experience
• Ensure clinical policies, procedures, and competencies are current and consistently followed
• Monitor key metrics and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain Joint Commission readiness and champion patient safety and regulatory compliance
• Recruit, orient, mentor, and evaluate staff while overseeing annual competencies and licensing compliance
• Manage clinic operations including supply and equipment needs and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Active, full, unrestricted RN license in the U.S.; Alaska license or ability to obtain within hire timelines
• Minimum 5 years of varied RN experience with at least 1 year in ambulatory care
• At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in healthcare
• Current BLS required
• Clinical competency and manager competency to be completed within 3 months of hire
• Demonstrated leadership, change management, and service excellence skills

Education

• Associate's degree in Nursing required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and technical skills including specimen collection and equipment use
• Excellent verbal and written communication and conflict resolution skills
• Knowledge of nursing process, safety, and infection control principles
• Experience with quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory readiness
• Capability to manage staffing, scheduling, and clinic operations effectively
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work independently in a fast-paced ambulatory setting
