Roles & Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to walk-in clinic patients within the scope of LPN licensure, following established standards and best practices
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinic staff to ensure smooth, patient-centered care
Take and accurately record vital signs and perform patient triage to prioritize care needs
Process prescription refills and complete necessary prior authorizations in a timely manner
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address patient needs and support care coordination
Give direction and day-to-day guidance to CNAs and Schedulers to keep clinic workflows efficient
Receive direction from Providers, Coordinators, Clinical Managers/Supervisors and RNs and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
Maintain compliance with state and federal licensure requirements and follow continuing education standards

Qualifications

Current Montana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (LPN program)
Comfortable taking vital signs, triaging patient calls, processing prescription refills and completing prior authorizations
Experience working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and providing direction to CNAs and Schedulers
Strong communication skills and ability to follow clinical direction from RNs and Providers

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in taking and interpreting vital signs
Skilled at patient triage and prioritization
Knowledgeable in prescription refill workflows and prior authorization processes
Able to collaborate across disciplines and communicate clearly with providers and staff
Capable of supervising and directing CNAs and front-office schedulers
Familiar with state/federal licensure standards and continuing education expectations
