Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and MRI procedures accurately and safely, following established protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, calling service engineers when needed to minimize downtime
• Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA standards to protect patients and staff
• Provide clear patient education and compassionate care, explaining procedures to ensure cooperation and comfort
• Maintain accurate patient records and billing entries in the EHR, PACS, RIS, and HIS systems
• Assist and cross-train in other imaging modalities such as X-ray, Fluoroscopy, DEXA, and Mammography when needed
• Support OR imaging needs, including C-arm operation, and collaborate effectively with surgical teams
• Order, stock, and manage supply inventory to keep the department running smoothly
• Participate in departmental quality improvement, compliance activities, and required annual training

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) with CT and MRI certification required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Successful completion of background check, pre-employment drug screen, and employee health clearance
• Preferred: Two (2) years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist with CT and MRI
• Preferred cross-training experience in DEXA and Mammography; familiarity with PACS, RIS, and HIS

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT (R) registration with CT and MRI certifications required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (current or obtained within 90 days of hire)

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) operation
• Radiography/X-ray and Fluoroscopy, including C-arm experience
• Radiation safety principles and ALARA practices
• PACS, RIS, HIS, and EHR proficiency for image and record management
• Patient education, compassionate bedside manner, and strong communication skills
• Equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
• Ability to assist in OR settings and perform clerical or reception tasks when needed
• Inventory management and basic supply ordering
