Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients using evidence-based practice
• Continuously monitor patients and respond to changes in condition with timely interventions
• Manage advanced life support measures and collaborate in code situations
• Care for ventilated patients and manage complex infusion therapies and hemodynamic support
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Be prepared to float to acute care floors as needed, bringing ICU-level judgment and skill

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• ICU or critical care nursing experience (ICU, critical care nursing listed as core skills)
• BLS and ACLS required
• TNCC and NIHSS required
• Ability to pass Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
• Successful completion of fit test, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, and required immunizations
• License and certificate verification required prior to start

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and patient monitoring
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Ventilator management and respiratory support
• Rapid assessment and prioritization in acute situations
• Strong clinical documentation and electronic charting skills
• Ability to adapt when floating to acute floors and support varying patient populations
