Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac and neurologic changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform procedures such as Foley insertion and IV starts with confidence
• Document patient care thoroughly in Cerner to maintain continuity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create patient-centered plans
• Provide patient and family education with compassion and clarity
• Support unit staffing needs and float to other med-surge floors as required

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state licensure required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• NIH certification (required)
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience (as listed)
• Telemetry and neuro/med-surg experience preferred
• Comfortable with Foley insertion, IV starts, and standard med-surg equipment
• Ability to work every other weekend and integrate into a busy unit

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Cerner EMR documentation and workflows
• Foley insertion and IV start techniques
• Familiarity with standard med-surg equipment
• Neurosciences nursing principles and patient ratios
• ACLS protocols and NIH stroke scale application
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
