Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality Med/Surg nursing care with a focus on pediatric patients
Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and communicate changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow care plans
Deliver compassionate patient and family education tailored to pediatric needs
Participate in orientation activities and support a positive unit culture

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — eligible to practice in Missouri
Experience or strong interest in Med/Surg nursing and caring for pediatric patients
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; PALS preferred or willing to obtain
Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to complete required orientation and credentialing prior to start

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and pediatric care
Medication administration and documentation best practices
Patient assessment and early recognition of clinical changes
Comfortable working with electronic medical records and standard hospital workflows
Strong communication, family-centered care approach, and teamwork
