Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and Cardizem while ensuring patient safety
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medications such as heparin and protonix
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to same-level-of-care units to support team needs and broaden your clinical experience
Deliver patient-centered care that respects diverse cultural, religious, and economic backgrounds

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
EPIC experience within the last 6 months preferred
First-time travelers welcome
Valid driver's license required at submission

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records
Skilled in Alaris IV pumps and ventilator management
Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, and EV-1000
Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and oncology protocols
Strong assessment and critical-thinking abilities in a mixed PCU/Med-Surg setting
