Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM-7:00 PM or 6:30 PM-7:00 AM), every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric PCU patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Monitor and titrate intravenous drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support facility needs
Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4-5, ensuring safe and attentive care
Adhere to facility policies including artificial nail prohibition and pass/fail exam during orientation

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of PCU or step-down experience preferred
Valid driver's license required for submission
Ability to pass open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in titrating intravenous medications
Comfortable with continuous EEG monitoring and cardiac drips
Positive attitude and willingness to help others in a fast-paced environment
