End Date: 10-26-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM; weekend rotation every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a rural LDRP unit
Perform triage assessments for obstetric patients
Assist with vaginal deliveries and serve as the baby catcher/transition nurse
Administer Pitocin and monitor fetal heart tracings using OBIX system
Collaborate with a small, dedicated team to ensure safe patient outcomes
Support postpartum patients and gynecological surgical patients as needed
Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilize newborns

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of L&D experience with LDRP training
Ability to triage obstetric patients and function as baby catcher/transition nurse
Current certifications: ALS, NRP, AWHONN EFM
Active RN license (Colorado or compact state)
Willingness to work in a rural hospital setting

Knowledge & Skills

Fetal heart monitoring interpretation
Pitocin titration and administration
Neonatal resuscitation techniques (NRP)
Triage and assessment skills
Team collaboration in a small unit
Adaptability to work with limited resources and on-call support
