Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and care for medical, telemetry, and PCU patients in a 32-bed unit
Titrate cardiac drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, and others
Interpret cardiac strips and telemetry monitoring
Manage patients with cardiac conditions, sepsis, pneumonia, and acute-on-chronic conditions
Collaborate with charge nurse and patient care techs to ensure optimal patient ratios
Float to PCU or MS units as needed for full patient assignments

Qualifications

Current RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
PCU experience and ability to read cardiac strips
Tele/cardiac nursing experience required
Epic experience preferred
First-time travelers welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills
Proficiency in titrating intravenous cardiac medications
Experience with Bipap, trachs, and high-flow oxygen devices
Ability to manage a 1:4-5 patient ratio (occasionally 1:6 on nights)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
