Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology patients in a 32-bed acute telemetry unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs using Philips telemetry system
Administer chemotherapy and manage central lines, foley catheters, and wound care
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PCTs, SWAT RNs, and respiratory therapy
Float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed to support patient care
Participate in SIMs Lab to demonstrate competency in sterile technique and critical skills

Qualifications

Current RN license in good standing
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Chemotherapy certification highly preferred
Experience with Cerner EMR and telemetry monitoring
Competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Must pass a pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of sterile field and infection control
Proficiency in EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Ability to manage oncology patients with medical and surgical comorbidities
Experience with Bipap, Cpap, and IV therapy support
