Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 08-31-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every 3rd weekend, 3 of 6 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Perform and maintain sterile field during central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions
Collaborate with neonatologists and midlevels 24/7 for comprehensive patient management
Monitor ventilated infants and administer medications as prescribed
Educate and support families through challenging times with compassion
Float to mother baby and labor care for newborn care as needed

Qualifications

Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Cardiac STABLE certification required
Minimum 3 years of NICU experience (Level 4 preferred)
Previous travel experience preferred
Ability to pass SIMs lab sterile field demonstration
Cerner EMR proficiency

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Knowledge of sterile field technique
Understanding of Level 4 NICU protocols
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to different units (Mother Baby, Labor Care)
