Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Flexible block scheduling, every other weekend, 40 hours per week

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations for acute medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients
Facilitate early mobilization and assess functional mobility status
Determine patient safety for discharge to home or need for rehabilitation transfer
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including COTAs and nursing staff
Manage a daily caseload of 8-10 patients in a fast-paced acute care setting
Provide patient and family education for safe transitions of care

Qualifications

Current Colorado Occupational Therapy license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Experience in acute inpatient care preferred
Ability to work independently and manage diverse patient populations
Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Acute care patient assessment and treatment planning
Early mobilization and fall prevention strategies
Discharge planning and home safety evaluation
Familiarity with ICU, IMC, and Medical/Surgical units
Electronic health record proficiency
