Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, minimum 2 holidays per contract, 48 hours per week

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to adult medical-surgical and cardiac patients in a 40-bed PCU
Titrate critical drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and rhythm changes autonomously
Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurses and patient care techs
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to support PCU acuity patients
Champion patient experience by ensuring responsiveness and clear communication about medications
Use advanced equipment like overhead lifts, vein finders, and bladder scanners
Adapt to diverse cultural populations including Hispanic and Somalian communities

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at submission
Competency in arterial line management
Driver's license required to verify 50-mile radius from facility
Flexibility to work every other weekend and minimum 2 holidays
Ability to pass an open-book exam during orientation (90% required)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in titrating intravenous drips
Proficient in telemetry interpretation
Experience with high-flow oxygen therapy
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability to changing assignments and patient populations
Commitment to patient experience and satisfaction scores
