Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour day shifts, rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM and rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures including cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying studies
Operate GE gamma cameras and utilize Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems
Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures while adhering to radiation safety protocols
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to provide accurate diagnostic images
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Participate in rotating call schedule including weekdays and weekends

Qualifications

Active California Nuclear Medicine Technology License (CA NMTL)
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Proficiency in cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, and gastric emptying studies
Ability to start IVs (preferred but not required)

Knowledge & Skills

Experience with GE equipment
Proficiency in Radnet and Merge Unity
Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to handle rotating call schedules
