Location: Bismarck, ND

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM), every third weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide respiratory care to patients from neonatal to geriatrics in ICU, NICU, surgical, medical, and cardiac units
Manage and operate ventilators including PB 840, PB 980, Hamilton C1, and V-60 Respironics
Administer high-flow oxygen, CPAP, BiPAP, and other respiratory therapies
Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans
Make independent clinical judgments in a fast-paced Level II trauma center
Cover all areas of the facility including ER, inpatient, and outpatient settings

Qualifications

BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
RRT or CRT credential from the NBRC
Active North Dakota state respiratory therapy license
Minimum NICU experience is mandatory
Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions
Friendly and collaborative attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with ventilators: Airvo, PB 840, PB 980, Hamilton C1, MR1, V-60 Respironics
Knowledge of neonatal, pediatric, and adult respiratory care
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
