Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
Monitor and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to patient changes
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with cardiac, vascular, respiratory, renal, and oncology needs
Float to MedSurg or ICU when needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards
Champion patient experience by focusing on responsiveness, clear medication communication, and a healing environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Comfortable with titratable drips and telemetry interpretation
Willingness to float and adapt to changing unit needs
Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
Titration of cardiac and vasoactive medications
Arterial line management and monitoring
Patient assessment across cardiac, vascular, respiratory, renal, and oncology populations
Collaboration with nurse aides, charge nurses, and respiratory therapy
