Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate step-down care to cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery patients
Monitor telemetry and manage cardiac drips including phenylephrine, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinone, Cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, heparin, nitroglycerin, and ketamine
Manage epidurals, chest tubes, and tube feedings with precision and care
Collaborate with a dynamic team of nurses, PCTs, and charge nurses in a fast-paced 40-bed CVPC unit
Float to other step-down or medical-surgical units as needed while maintaining excellent patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license and current ACLS and BLS certifications
Minimum 2 years of step-down and telemetry experience
Preferred: recent CV surgery or vascular surgery population experience and CVICU background
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a flexible, team-oriented attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Step-down and telemetry monitoring expertise
Cardiac drip management and epidural care
Chest tube and feeding tube management
Cerner EMR proficiency
Strong communication and adaptability
