Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery, ensuring safe and comfortable transitions
• Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and assess for complications in a fast-paced 22-bed unit
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver top-notch care for ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI cases
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition, using your ACLS and PALS skills to handle emergencies
• Float to other units as needed, demonstrating versatility and teamwork
• Take on-call shifts occasionally to support the unit during high census or emergencies

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado or compact state (NLC) - we accept compact licenses!
• At least 1 year of recent ICU or ED experience (PACU experience preferred but not required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications - essential for the role
• Epic experience is a plus - we use it daily
• Ability to commit to a 13-week assignment starting July 13, 2026

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills to manage post-surgical patients
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation (you'll read strips!)
• Comfortable with ventilator and CPAP/BiPAP equipment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Adaptability to handle variable start times and floating requirements
