Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in the Operating Room
• Scrub, circulate, or assist on a variety of procedures including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastics, urology, burn and trauma
• Document patient care and perioperative events accurately using Cerner
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to ensure smooth, safe patient flow
• Respond to variable scheduling and call requirements professionally and reliably
• Adapt to floating assignments to support staffing needs across the facility

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the appropriate state
• Minimum 2+ years of recent OR or surgical nursing experience
• Broad surgical knowledge across service lines: general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastics, urology, burn and trauma
• Experience with Cerner documentation system
• Willingness to provide call coverage and float to other departments as needed
• Unit-specific certifications: none required per job details

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative and scrub/ circulating skills
• Comfort with a wide range of surgical specialties and variable procedures
• Proficient documentation in Cerner
• Ability to work in a 1:1 patient ratio environment when required
• Adaptability to variable schedules and on-call responsibilities
• Team-focused communication and collaboration in fast-paced OR settings
