Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, days or nights, every 3rd weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU, including monitoring, medication administration, and ventilator management
Collaborate with neonatologists and midlevels in a 24/7 in-house setting to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform and assist with procedures such as Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes, maintaining strict sterile technique
Support families through education and emotional care during their NICU journey

Qualifications

At least 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Previous travel nurse experience preferred
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Cardiac STABLE certification preferred
Minimum 3 years of overall NICU experience

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in NICU nursing and patient care
Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically Cerner
Competency in telemetry monitoring and Phillips telemetry
Strong understanding of sterile field and infection control
Experience with high-risk deliveries and Level 2 stepdown care
