Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside nursing care during the night shift for patients served by the MST program
• Perform thorough patient assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document clinical observations and patient progress in the medical record promptly
• Educate patients and families about care plans and post-discharge instructions
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns when needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
• Experience or comfort working within MST programs preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently on night shifts and communicate clearly with team members

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing program and active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment and monitoring
• Skilled in medication administration and documentation
• Familiarity with standard nursing procedures and safety protocols
• Good communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and clinicians
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively during night shift
