Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and support to residents
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Take and record vital signs, report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
- Help with mealtime assistance and feeding as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with colleagues
- Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to protect residents
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — PA certification required or eligible
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Ability to pass background and health screening requirements
- Comfortable assisting with mobility and lifting (training provided)
- Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred, new CNAs encouraged to apply
Education
- High school diploma or GED and CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and ADL assistance
- Taking and documenting vital signs
- Basic infection control and hygiene practices
- Reliable charting and clear communication with the care team
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
