Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate Med/Surg nursing care tailored to pediatric patients
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately and promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely following facility protocols
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate effective patient care
Educate families and caregivers on care plans and post-discharge instructions
Participate in orientation and unit training to maintain high standards of practice

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license valid in Massachusetts
Experience in Med/Surg nursing with exposure to pediatrics preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; PALS preferred or willing to obtain
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Ability to participate in orientation and work collaboratively in a team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and pediatric considerations
Skill in patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation
Comfort working in a fast-paced hospital environment
Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and clinical teams
Familiarity with electronic health record documentation is a plus
