Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: St. Louis, MO
Start Date: 03-30-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible 4-hour shifts; exact start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed (4 hours per shift; orientation provided)
Candidate Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess speech, language, swallowing, and communication needs using evidence-based tools
- Develop individualized treatment plans that make a tangible difference for each child
- Provide skilled therapy and adjust approaches based on progress and family input
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate holistic care
- Document progress clearly and timely in the patient record
- Educate families and caregivers with practical strategies to reinforce gains at home
- Participate in orientation and help maintain a compassionate, patient-first culture
Qualifications
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience with pediatric populations preferred; new grads with strong clinical training are welcome
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background checks and required immunizations
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (typical requirement for SLP roles)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in pediatric speech, language, and swallowing assessment
- Experience with individualized treatment planning and progress measurement
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) approaches
- Strong collaboration and family education skills
- Comfortable with electronic health record documentation and clinical reporting
