Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, direct patient care for Med/Surg pediatric patients
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor and document patient status and vital signs with attention to detail
Collaborate with physicians, therapists and the care team to coordinate care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
Participate in orientation and support onboarding of new team members

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts preferred)
Experience or comfort working in Med/Surg and pediatric populations
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Strong clinical assessment and IV/medication administration skills
Excellent communication, teamwork and patient advocacy abilities

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
ADN or BSN in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Med/Surg nursing principles and pediatric patient care
Patient assessment, vital sign trends and clinical documentation
Safe medication administration and basic IV therapy knowledge
Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation competency
Effective teamwork, time management and patient-centered communication
