Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly
Administer medications and treatments according to orders and protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Monitor patient status and escalate concerns to providers in a timely manner
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with facility policies
Contribute to a positive unit culture by supporting colleagues and mentoring peers

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Experience or comfort working on a medical-surgical unit (Med/Surg)
Ability and willingness to work 12-hour shifts
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and care planning for Med/Surg populations
Medication administration and safe handling practices
IV therapy basics and wound care management
Accurate clinical documentation and time management
Infection control practices and patient safety principles
Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
