Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Monitor patient status and escalate concerns promptly to ensure optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Georgia
• Experience in Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred or as required by facility
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour shifts and adapting to unit staffing needs
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and familiarity with Med/Surg patient populations
• Medication administration and IV therapy experience
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients and the care team
• Basic quality improvement and patient safety knowledge
