Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients throughout antepartum, labor, triage, postpartum, and newborn stages
Administer medications including Pitocin, insulin, fluids, and antibiotics using Alaris IV pumps
Monitor and support mothers and newborns through every stage of the birthing process
Collaborate with the charge nurse and care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes
Maintain excellent documentation and respond quickly to changing patient needs

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of labor and delivery experience
Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for labor and delivery patients
Comfortable managing common drips and newborn care
Ability to work collaboratively in a small 4-bed unit with 1:2 ratios
Flexible and willing to help in MedSurg when needed
