Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based ICU nursing care to critically ill patients
• Monitor and interpret patient data, using clinical judgment to act promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to create and execute care plans
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity during stressful times
• Document patient status and interventions thoroughly and professionally

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact/eligible per facility policy)
• ICU experience (prior critical care exposure preferred)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care protocols
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a fast-paced team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ICU standards of care and critical care workflows
• Skill with patient assessment, advanced monitoring, and emergency interventions
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
• Collaborative approach to working with physicians, respiratory therapists, and allied staff
