Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for ICU patients
• Assess, monitor, and interpret patient condition and respond promptly
• Administer medications and advanced treatments with precision
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families with clarity, compassion, and respect
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure continuity of care
• Act quickly in emergencies, using critical thinking to stabilize patients

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license (California licensure expectations apply)
• Experience working in ICU or critical care settings
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Comfortable with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced meds
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a fast-paced team
• Comfortable with per diem/contract scheduling and adapting to unit needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ongoing professional development encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and bedside monitoring
• Ventilator management and advanced respiratory care
• Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
• EKG rhythm recognition and rapid intervention
• Infection control practices and safe medication administration
• Effective teamwork, delegation, and patient/family communication
