Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
Monitor patient status, interpret cardiac and hemodynamic data, and respond to changes promptly
Administer medications and perform complex nursing interventions safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and recovery with clarity and empathy
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit workflows

Qualifications

Active RN license in California required
Experience working in an ICU or critical care environment
BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
Comfortable with ventilators, vasoactive drips, arterial lines, and central line management
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in high-acuity situations
Professional communication skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care nursing principles and best practices
Cardiac monitoring and interpretation
Mechanical ventilation basics and troubleshooting
IV medication administration and titration
Electronic medical record documentation
Patient and family-centered communication
