Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients
• Assess, monitor, and interpret changes in patient condition using advanced ICU skills
• Administer medications and titrate drips safely and accurately
• Operate and manage ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Document clinical care and communicate effectively with patients and families
• Respond quickly to emergencies and participate in code situations as needed

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Alabama (or compact licensure where applicable)
• BLS certification required; ACLS required or obtained promptly upon hire
• Prior ICU or critical care experience (preferred: at least one year of ICU experience)
• Comfort with ventilators, vasoactive drips, and complex patient care
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring
• Ventilator management and respiratory support
• Hemodynamic monitoring and IV medication titration
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Infection control and patient safety best practices
• Excellent clinical judgment and time management
• Patient/family education and compassionate communication
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
