Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver critical care to ICU, PCU, and Med Surg patients across a dynamic 10-bed multi-care unit
• Titrate essential drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin with confidence
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and monitor bedside cardiac rhythms for ICU patients
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists on vents, BiPAP, and CPAP support
• Float strategically to maintain sharp skills in ICU and PCU across campuses
• Manage patient ratios based on acuity from 1:2 in ICU to 1:5-6 in Med Surg

Qualifications

• Active RN license ready to submit
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med Surg from larger facilities
• Pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
• No recent employment within 50 miles or at CommonSpirit facilities

Education

• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in managing sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, post-op complications, and more
• Proficiency titrating drips and reading cardiac strips
• Strong skills in a combined acuity unit with remote telemetry support
• Comfort with floating to Med Surg and Pediatric units for adult patients
