Roles & Responsibilities

Perform initial and ongoing age-appropriate nursing assessments to guide exceptional care
Develop and implement personalized plans of care based on patient needs and physician orders
Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient updates and coordination
Document all patient activities with precision following hospital standards
Administer medications safely using the five rights and evaluate patient responses
Educate patients and families while completing thoughtful discharge planning
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives to elevate care
Maintain a safe environment and respond adeptly in emergencies

Qualifications

Current RN license in Maine or compact state
BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
Current unexpired certifications and required immunizations including flu shot during season
BSN preferred
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and handle physical demands of patient care

Education

BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong nursing assessment skills for all age groups
Critical thinking and problem-solving prowess
Effective verbal and written communication
Knowledge of drug administration and patient safety protocols
