Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, longer on Ortho & Spine days, call every 5th weekend and 2-3 days during the week

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operative procedures with precision and confidence
• Prepare operating rooms swiftly with all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain sterile fields and pass instruments seamlessly to keep surgeries flowing smoothly
• Anticipate surgeon needs to make every procedure efficient and successful
• Handle specimens, counts, and post-op cleanup with meticulous care
• Collaborate with the OR team to ensure patient safety and top-quality outcomes
• Sterilize instruments and restock supplies to keep the department ready for action

Qualifications

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from NBSTSA
• Current BLS Certification
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program
• High school diploma or GED
• Ready to adapt to patients from neonates to geriatrics with compassion and skill

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in surgical asepsis and sterile technique
• Skilled in instrument handling, room setup, and equipment checks
• Strong patient interaction with explanations and reassurance
• Knowledge of specimen care, counts, and OR safety protocols
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and maintain orderly sterile fields
