Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 36 hours/week, weekend requirement of 4 shifts per month at unit discretion

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver expert care to high-acuity trauma and ED patients in a Level 1 environment
Manage 1:4 ratios while handling diverse cases including trauma, burns, and psych holds
Collaborate with charge RNs, PCTs, hospitalists, and RTs for seamless patient outcomes
Excel in SIMs Lab for critical skills like Foley insertion and sterile field maintenance
Float efficiently between nearby facilities to support team needs

Qualifications

Active RN license with at least 2 years ER experience, including 6 months in Trauma Level 1
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (ENPC not accepted as substitute)
Preferred: TNCC and ATCN
Competency in reading Phillips tele strips and Cerner EMR
Reliable vehicle for travel teams and ability to pass Day 1 exams

Education

RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in ED/Trauma care, sterile field techniques, and high-volume patient management
Familiarity with Cerner EMR, trauma bays, and psych hold protocols
Strong teamwork in fast-paced settings with vents managed by RT and 24/7 support teams
