Shift Type: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver expert care to patients across the lifespan from newborns to geriatrics handling respiratory cardiac trauma and stroke cases
Triage patients efficiently in a dedicated triage area managing 25-30 daily visits
Read tele strips independently using Phillips monitors and manage common drips like norepi nitro and amiodarone
Collaborate with the on-site provider and support staff including CNA/techs and RT to ensure smooth operations
Assist with transports including stroke activations to CT and utilize de-escalation skills in a Level IV trauma center

Qualifications

Active RN license with at least 2 years Critical Access ED experience preferred
Required certifications: BLS ACLS TNCC ENPC or PALS
Competent triage skills and ability to work independently as a team player
Must live more than 50 miles from facility and not employed by associated facilities in past year

Education

RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

Quick learning with strong practical skills not reliant on ancillary support
Ability to read tele strips and troubleshoot RT equipment like vents CPAP BiPAP
De-escalation skills for psych patients with access to local PD support
Familiarity with common ER drips EKGs swabs splinting and transports
