Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (exact start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed); RN - ICU

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Monitor and interpret complex patient data, making timely interventions
Administer medications, advanced therapies and manage life-support equipment per protocol
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and discharge plans
Actively participate in unit quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible or current in Louisiana preferred)
Critical care experience in an ICU setting (previous ICU experience preferred)
Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or required based on facility policy
Strong assessment, clinical judgment and communication skills
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to rotating schedules

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with ICU monitoring equipment and ventilator management
Knowledge of critical care protocols and medication administration
Skilled in patient assessment, triage and rapid response
Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, respiratory therapists and other clinicians
Comfortable with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
